To the community of TNR:
Twisting Nether Raiders has been in existence for over three years. In that time there have been many accomplishments, including server firsts, by a multi guild coalition that raided less than half the time of most raiding guilds. There have been many reloads of the roster, as people left and new people came in. That being said, over the last few months, due to may key departures, as well as difficulty recruiting the number and quality of people required to get TNR back to where it needs to be, the time has come to shut down Twisting Nether Raiders effective Monday, 7/27/2009.
This was by no means an easy decision to make, or one made without much soul searching by the leadership. The bottom line is, a great many of the senior members and leadership have become burned out on trying to reload the roster, and we don't see it working out. We can't fill raids with 25 bodies, much less 25 bodies of the quality we have grown to expect. Adding to that is lately, the feeling of community isn't there. We feel to a lot of less like a group, and more like a place to grab 25 man gear. Vent is constantly deserted. There is no feeling of camaraderie. In all honesty, the majority of the leadership and many senior members were about ready to hang it up regardless of what was attempted to continue to restock on members.
Over the next few days, a group of us are going to be merging with the former HSM members under the guild Borrowed Time. We're very sorry that we couldn't take everyone with us, and we wish nothing but the best for you all. This is being done in order to hopefully get those of us burned out back to enjoying the game and enjoying raiding. It's not done with spite, or bad intentions, but with the hope that we, along with all of you, can continue to enjoy playing this game we all devote an unhealthy amount of time to. As with everything else, I, or the rest of the former leadership, will be happy to answer any questions you may have via tell, PM, email, etc.
